Haftarah D’varim: Yesha‘yahu (Isaiah) 1:1–27
27 Zion shall be redeemed with justice, And her [o]penitents with righteousness.
B’rit Hadashah suggested readings for Parashah D’varim:
Yochanan (John) 15:1–11;
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you[b] will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.
Love and Joy Perfected
9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
11 “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.
Messianic Jews (Hebrews) 3:7–4:11;
Hebrews 3:18 And to whom was it that he swore that they would not enter his rest? Those who were disobedient. 19 So we see that they were unable to enter because of lack of trust.
Hebrews 4:1 Therefore, let us be terrified of the possibility that, even though the promise of entering his rest remains, any one of you might be judged to have fallen short of it; 2 for Good News has also been proclaimed to us, just as it was to them. But the message they heard didn’t do them any good, because those who heard it did not combine it with trust. 3 For it is we who have trusted who enter the rest.
Mark 14:12–26
22 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them and said, “Take, [c]eat; this is My body.”
23 Then He took the cup, and when He had given thanks He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. 24 And He said to them, “This is My blood of the [d]new covenant, which is shed for many. 25 Assuredly, I say to you, I will no longer drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.”
26 And when they had sung [e]a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
Day 203 Readings
Numbers 16:36-17:13
8 Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses went into the tabernacle of witness, and behold, the rod of Aaron, of the house of Levi, had sprouted and put forth buds, had produced blossoms and yielded ripe almonds. 9 Then Moses brought out all the rods from before the Lord to all the children of Israel; and they looked, and each man took his rod.
10 And the Lord said to Moses, “Bring Aaron’s rod back before the Testimony, to be kept as a sign against the rebels, that you may put their complaints away from Me, lest they die.” 11 Thus did Moses; just as the Lord had commanded him, so he did.
Jude 1:17-25
24 Now to Him who is able to keep [m]you from stumbling,
And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
25 To [n]God our Savior, [o]Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty,
Dominion and [p]power, Both now and forever. Amen.

2 Chronicles 7-8
7:1 When Shlomo had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of Adonai filled the house, 2 so that the cohanim could not enter the house of Adonai; because the glory of Adonai filled Adonai’s house. 3 All the people of Isra’el saw when the fire came down, and the glory of Adonai was on the house; they bowed down with their faces to the ground on the flooring; prostrating themselves, they gave thanks to Adonai, “for he is good, for his grace continues forever.”
8:15 They did not deviate from the king’s order to the cohanim and L’vi’im in any matter or in regard to the supplies. 16 All the work of Shlomo was organized in this way from the day ground was broken for the house of Adonai until everything had been accomplished, and the house of Adonai had been completed.
Romans 7:8-25
22 For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man
Psalm 18
1 “I love You, O Lord, my strength.”2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge;My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.3 I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised,And I am saved from my enemies.
4 The cords of death encompassed me,And the torrents of ungodliness terrified me.5 The cords of [e]Sheol surrounded me;The snares of death confronted me.6 In my distress I called upon the Lord,And cried to my God for help;He heard my voice out of His temple,And my cry for help before Him came into His ears.
7 Then the earth shook and quaked;And the foundations of the mountains were trembling And were shaken, because He was angry.8 Smoke went up [f]out of His nostrils,And fire from His mouth devoured;Coals were kindled by it.9 He bowed the heavens also, and came downWith thick darkness under His feet.10 He rode upon a cherub and flew;And He sped upon the wings of the wind.11 He made darkness His hiding place, His [g]canopy around Him,Darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.12 From the brightness before Him passed His thick clouds,Hailstones and coals of fire.13 The Lord also thundered in the heavens,And the Most High uttered His voice,Hailstones and coals of fire.14 He sent out His arrows, and scattered them,And lightning flashes in abundance, and [h]routed them.15 Then the channels of water appeared,And the foundations of the world were [i]laid bareAt Your rebuke, O Lord,At the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.
Proverbs 19:24-25
25 If you strike a scorner, the simple will learn to act wisely; if you reprove the intelligent, he will understand what you mean.
