Day 263 Readings
Torah: Ha'azinu, 4th Portion Devarim (Deuteronomy) 32:19-28
26 I would have said, “I will dash them in pieces,I will make the memory of them to cease from among men,”27 Had I not feared the wrath of the enemy,Lest their adversaries should misunderstand,Lest they should say, “Our hand is high; And it is not the Lord who has done all this.” ’
28 “For they are a nation void of counsel,Nor is there any understanding in them.

Joshua 6
20 So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. 21 And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, ox and sheep and donkey, with the edge of the sword.
26 Then Joshua [d]charged them at that time, saying, “Cursed be the man before the Lord who rises up and builds this city Jericho; he shall lay its foundation with his firstborn, and with his youngest he shall set up its gates.”
27 So the Lord was with Joshua, and his fame spread throughout all the country.
Psalm 66
New King James Version
Praise to God for His Awesome Works
To the Chief Musician. A Song. A Psalm.
66 Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!2 Sing out the honor of His name;Make His praise glorious.3 Say to God,“How awesome are Your works!Through the greatness of Your powerYour enemies shall submit themselves to You.4 All the earth shall worship YouAnd sing praises to You;They shall sing praises to Your name.” Selah
5 Come and see the works of God;He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.6 He turned the sea into dry land; They went through the river on foot. There we will rejoice in Him.7 He rules by His power forever; His eyes observe the nations;Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah
8 Oh, bless our God, you peoples! And make the voice of His praise to be heard,9 Who keeps our soul among the living,And does not allow our feet to [a]be moved.10 For You, O God, have tested us;You have refined us as silver is refined.11 You brought us into the net;You laid affliction on our backs.12 You have caused men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to [b]rich fulfillment.
13 I will go into Your house with burnt offerings;I will pay You my [c]vows,14 Which my lips have utteredAnd my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble.15 I will offer You burnt sacrifices of fat animals,With the sweet aroma of rams;I will offer bulls with goats. Selah
16 Come and hear, all you who fear God,And I will declare what He has done for my soul.17 I cried to Him with my mouth,And He was [d]extolled with my tongue.18 If I regard iniquity in my heart,The Lord will not hear.19 But certainly God has heard me;He has attended to the voice of my prayer.
20 Blessed be God,Who has not turned away my prayer,Nor His mercy from me!
Mark 8:31-9:1
Take Up the Cross and Follow Him
34 When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. 36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? 37 Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”
The Transfiguration of Christ
Mark 9
1 And He said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the kingdom of God [b]present with power.”
365 Daily Kingdom Living
Isaiah 34-36
Dear Yousef,
I woke up at this time 3-4am feeling anxious of the present trouble that I am in with the family business and the Government caused by our idealist laywer. But thankfully after meeting the new CPA Lawyer who is a single man (no ring on his finger) I was assured that everything will be okay. But then still waking at the early dawn watch, I look at my phone to read GOD's words of comfort to me and instead I read this word about me having a mate...
Isaiah 34
16 “Search from the book of the Lord, and read: Not one of these shall fail;
Not one shall lack her mate. For My mouth has commanded it, and His Spirit has gathered them.
17 He has cast the lot for them, And His hand has divided it among them with a measuring line.
They shall possess it forever; From generation to generation they shall dwell in it.”
I was like saying to GOD: "What?" I'm not asking for that right now, I need you to tell me I will not drown in waters or burn in the heat of the fire because YOU are with me. But why am I getting this word about me having a mate? And it got me curious about the new Laywer we just hired. Because there was something about him, that I was drawn to, probably his way of talking, or how straight he was, decent (as Cherry describes him), humble when I first met him, he bowed to me and my father and to everyone he meets probably... and he made sense out of the "nonsense" that the previous cruella lawyer was accusing corruption with the BIR Government. I just felt reassured that everything will be okay when he was there... secure? hmmmm close to it but not so... kinda like hmmmm "who is this guy?" I was curious about him, but my curiousity increased when GOD HIMSELF reminded me I will not lack a mate, I will have a husband regardless of ethnicity but ethnicity really mattered to me... and that's why the color of his skin repelled me because I don't want to marry a chinese more than a filipino. You know what I mean? And this is skin color and ethnicity is all non sense to GOD, non sense! True he chose the Hebrews to represent him but now he is doing a new thing, so who are we humans to contend with that! HE can do a new thing but HE remains the same always and forever!
Isaiah 35
New King James Version
The Future Glory of Zion
35 The wilderness and the [a]wasteland shall be glad for them,And the desert[b] shall rejoice and blossom as the rose;2 It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice,Even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it,The excellence of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the Lord,The excellency of our God.
3 Strengthen the [c]weak hands,And make firm the [d]feeble knees.4 Say to those who are fearful-hearted,“Be strong, do not fear!Behold, your God will come with vengeance,With the recompense of God;He will come and save you.”
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.6 Then the lame shall leap like a deer,And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness,And streams in the desert.7 The parched ground shall become a pool,And the thirsty land springs of water; In the habitation of jackals, where each lay,There shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
8 A highway shall be there, and a road,And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it,But it shall be for others.Whoever walks the road, although a fool,Shall not go astray.9 No lion shall be there,Nor shall any ravenous beast go up on it;It shall not be found there. But the redeemed shall walk there,10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return,And come to Zion with singing,With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness,And sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
Galatians 5:16-26
New King James Version
Walking in the Spirit
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: [a]adultery, [b]fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, [c]murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 [d]gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
Psalm 64
New King James Version
Oppressed by the Wicked but Rejoicing in the Lord
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.
1 Hear my voice, O God, in my [a]meditation;Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.2 Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked,From the rebellion of the workers of iniquity,3 Who sharpen their tongue like a sword,And bend their bows to shoot their arrows—bitter words,4 That they may shoot in secret at the blameless;Suddenly they shoot at him and do not fear.
5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter; They talk of laying snares secretly; They say, “Who will see them?”6 They devise iniquities:“We have perfected a shrewd scheme.”Both the inward thought and the heart of man are deep.
7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow;Suddenly they shall be wounded.8 So He will make them stumble over their own tongue; All who see them shall flee away.9 All men shall fear,And shall declare the work of God;For they shall wisely consider His doing.
10 The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and trust in Him.And all the upright in heart shall glory.
Proverbs 23
1 Buy the truth, and do not sell it, Also wisdom and instruction and understanding.
