Day 277 Readings
Torah: Vezot Hab'rachah, 4th Portion Devarim (Deuteronomy) 33:18-21
New King James Version
18 And of Zebulun he said:
“Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out, And Issachar in your tents! 19 They shall call the peoples to the mountain;There they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness; For they shall partake of the abundance of the seasAnd of treasures hidden in the sand.”
20 And of Gad he said:
“Blessed is he who enlarges Gad; He dwells as a lion, And tears the arm and the crown of his head. 21 He provided the first part for himself,Because a lawgiver’s portion was reserved there. He came with the heads of the people; He administered the justice of the Lord,And His judgments with Israel.”

Joshua 21:1-33;
Cities of the Levites
21 Then the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites came near to Eleazar the priest, to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of the fathers’ houses of the tribes of the children of Israel. 2 And they spoke to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, “The Lord commanded through Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with their common-lands for our livestock.” 3 So the children of Israel gave to the Levites from their inheritance, at the commandment of the Lord, these cities and their common-lands:
9 So they gave from the tribe of the children of Judah and from the tribe of the children of Simeon these cities which are [a]designated by name, 10 which were for the children of Aaron, one of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi; for the lot was theirs first. 11 And they gave them [b]Kirjath Arba (Arba was the father of Anak), which is Hebron, in the mountains of Judah, with the common-land surrounding it. 12 But the fields of the city and its villages they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh as his possession.
Luke 9:49-50;
Jesus Forbids Sectarianism
49 Now John answered and said, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow with us.”
50 But Jesus said to him, “Do not forbid him, for he who is not against [a]us is on [b]our side.”
Mark 9:38-41
Jesus Forbids Sectarianism
38 Now John answered Him, saying, “Teacher, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow us.”
39 But Jesus said, “Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me. 40 For he who is not against [a]us is on [b]our side. 41 For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.
365 Daily Kingdom Living
Jeremiah 3;
11 Then the Lord said to me, “Backsliding Israel has shown herself more righteous than treacherous Judah. 12 Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say:
‘Return, backsliding Israel,’ says the Lord;‘I will not cause My anger to fall on you.For I am merciful,’ says the Lord;‘I will not remain angry forever.13 Only acknowledge your iniquity,That you have transgressed against the Lord your God,And have scattered your [b]charmsTo alien deities under every green tree,And you have not obeyed My voice,’ says the Lord.
14 “Return, O backsliding children,” says the Lord; “for I am married to you. I will take you, one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion. 15 And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.
16 “Then it shall come to pass, when you are multiplied and increased in the land in those days,” says the Lord, “that they will say no more, ‘The ark of the covenant of the Lord.’ It shall not come to mind, nor shall they remember it, nor shall they visit it, nor shall it be made anymore.
17 “At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of the Lord, and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem. No more shall they follow[c] the dictates of their evil hearts.
18 “In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given as an inheritance to your fathers.
Jeremiah 4;
1 “If you will return, O Israel,” says the Lord, “Return to Me;
And if you will put away your abominations out of My sight, Then you shall not be moved.
2 And you shall swear, ‘The Lord lives,’ In truth, in [a]judgment, and in righteousness;
The nations shall bless themselves in Him, And in Him they shall glory.”
Philippians 4:10-23;
Philippian Generosity
10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your[a] care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: 12 I know how to [b]be abased, and I know how to [c]abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through [d]Christ who strengthens me.
14 Nevertheless you have done well that you shared in my distress. 15 Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only. 16 For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities. 17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account. 18 Indeed I [e]have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. 19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 20 Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
Greeting and Blessing
21 Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who are with me greet you. 22 All the saints greet you, but especially those who are of Caesar’s household.
23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with [f]you all. Amen.
Psalm 75
Thanksgiving for God’s Righteous Judgment
To the Chief Musician. Set to “Do[a] Not Destroy.” A Psalm of Asaph. A Song.
1 We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks!For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near.
2 “When I choose the [b]proper time,I will judge uprightly.3 The earth and all its inhabitants are dissolved;I set up its pillars firmly. Selah
4 “I said to the boastful, ‘Do not deal boastfully,’And to the wicked, ‘Do not [c]lift up the horn.5 Do not lift up your horn on high;Do not speak with [d]a stiff neck.’ ”
6 For exaltation comes neither from the eastNor from the west nor from the south.
7 But God is the Judge:He puts down one,And exalts another.
8 For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup,And the wine is red;It is fully mixed, and He pours it out; Surely its dregs shall all the wicked of the earth Drain and drink down.
9 But I will declare forever,I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
10 “All the [e]horns of the wicked I will also cut off,But the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.”
Proverbs 24:21-22
New King James Version
21 My son, fear the Lord and the king; Do not associate with those given to change; 22 For their calamity will rise suddenly,And who knows the ruin those two can bring?
