The Wonder of Sivan

Written: 18 June 2022

The month of Sivan celebrates two contrasts of the Old and New Testament. The feast of Shavuot where the 10 commandments were given by GOD to Israel and the same Shavuot is the event where HOLY SPIRIT was given to believers during Pentecost. It was this month that GOD gave the Law and the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the [a]Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

But personally for me, this 3rd month of the Biblical Calendar has unexpectedly been the month of Contradiction, the month of letting go of the Old and the month of Newfound hope, the season of throwing away of the old wineskins (old mindsets or set up beliefs) to be able to receive the New wine (new idea) and give way to the the start of a New beginning. It was the 5th day of Hannukah 5781 (December 3, 2021) that I had to let go of all my dream and my desires that all my hopes got shattered and I found myself broken - dead to who I was. Of all the deaths I experienced in my walk of faith, I found this death to be the most devastating because I held on to this idea (like a Promise from GOD) for 28 years of my life. I was grieving for 6 months because everything I thought was mine was all a lie. Just like the Typhoon Odette that hit my city I felt like a tree being uprooted from all that I thought that I was (my identity was linked to all that I desired to be). For 6 months I was alive in my body but I was lifeless in my heart, I did not know who I was or where I was heading to... I had been living in autopilot ever since that time until the 12th of Sivan (June 11) when GOD began to speak and breathe new life (resurrection) into me through HIS Word and HIS Spirit behind those WORDs.

12 Sivan 5782: Shabbat Naso (Lift Up or Raise Up).

Numbers 4:21–7:89;

Haftarah Naso: Judges 13:2–25

17 Then Manoah asked the angel of Adonai, “What is your name, so that when your words come to pass we may honor you?” 18 But the angel of Adonai said to him, “Why do you ask for my name? It is wonderful.”

Ephesians 1:1–23

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He [a]made us accepted in the Beloved.

But it wasn't the WORD in Shabbat that HE gave me that gave me new life. As I was reading my word for that day, GOD began speaking another WORD to my Spirit and it was not what I was reading. Without hope, I began crying out to GOD, When are you coming for me? When will you take me away from here (world)? And I hear this word in my Spirit: "In My Father's house are many mansions.... I am preparing a place for you" and I said "No I don't need a mansion LORD, I just want to be with YOU, come now will YOU?" These are the prayers of a Warrior who have lost their hope to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living... But as My Spirit continued to receive HIS WORD in John 14:2

The LORD takes my mind back to what happened 2 days before this Shabbat day, a Thursday 10 Sivan that I was working for Ezra, buying building materials in Cebu Home Builders when I saw 2 young Arab men, not the typical senior old foreign men that you would normally see in my country who lives here for retirement, no not that! They were about my age and they were busy buying materials for a certain building or house, that's why I was at that same place. And I kept staring at them wondering "What are these men doing here? Are they building something big? Why are they even here?" and then I forgot about it. But then this particular Shabbat, the LORD brought back this particular event (Thursday at Cebu Home Builders) in my mind as HE spoke John 14:2 and as I was seeing this picture in my mind and put the pieces of HIS Word together, in my Spirit I receive HIS message that I would best transliterate into the English language as: "I am building something for you.... Why do you only believe your dreams can come true only if you are not in Cebu? Why is it not possible that I am preparing this man for you just I am preparing a place for you, and as I am building something for you, so is he building a place for you. I am building for you, I am preparing something wonderful and amazing for you. In just a little while now and it shall be presented to you." And this is the Spirit behind the Words of John 14:2. I shared this to Ma Elsie and Pastor Jonah and Pastor Jonah transliterated what GOD was telling me to be "Why do you limit Me?" and again the Spirit is saying the words "Why do you limit ME?"(Luke 1:37) - "I can do more than what you imagine! I will go beyond your wildest dreams and imaginations" (Ephesians 3:20) for I AM Wonderful (Judges 13:18), I AM Beautiful (Psalm 24:7), I AM Amazing (Nehemiah 1:5), I AM Faithful and True (Revelations 19:11) and that is what will be in everything I do!

Today's Shabbat Reading:

19 Sivan 5782: Shabbat BEHAALOTECHA (When You Raise)

Numbers 8:1–12:16;

Haftarah Beha'alotcha: Zechariah 2:14[10]–4:7;

Zechariah 3 NKJV

3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel.

4 Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, “Take away the filthy garments from him.” And to him He said, “See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.”

5 And I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.”

So they put a clean turban on his head, and they put the clothes on him. And the Angel of the Lord stood by.

Hebrews 3 TLV

1 Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, partners in a heavenly calling, take notice of Yeshua—the Emissary and Kohen Gadol we affirm. 2 He was faithful to the One who appointed Him in His house—as was Moses also. [a] 3 For He has been considered worthy of more glory than Moses, even as the builder of the house has more honor than the house. 4 For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God. 5 Now Moses surely was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, for a witness of things to be spoken later. 6 But Messiah, as Son, is over God’s house—and we are His house, if we hold firm to our boldness and what we are proud to hope.

Philippians 2:1–18 TLV

3 Do nothing out of selfishness or conceit, but with humility consider others as more important than yourselves, 4 looking out not only for your own interests but also for the interests of others.

Work Out Your Salvation

12 Therefore, my loved ones, just as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence—work out your salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For the One working in you is God—both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you might be blameless and innocent, children of God in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation.[b] Among them you shine as lights in the world, 16 holding fast to the word of life, so that I may boast in the day of Messiah that I did not run or labor in vain.

Revelations 11:1-19 TLV

Two Witnesses

1 Then a measuring rod like a staff was given to me, saying, “Get up and measure the Temple of God and the altar, and count those worshiping in it. [a] 2 But do not measure the court outside the Temple—leave it out, because it has been given to the nations, and they shall trample the holy city for forty-two months. [b] 3 And I will grant authority to My two witnesses and they will prophesy for 1,260 days,[c] dressed in sackcloth.”

4 These are the two olive trees and the two menorot that are standing before the Lord of the earth. [d] 5 If anyone wishes to harm them, fire comes out of their mouths and consumes their enemies. If anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this way. [e] 6 These two have the power to shut the heavens, so that no rain may fall during the days of their prophesying.[f] And they have power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they wish.[g]

7 When they have finished their testimony, the beast that rises from the abyss will make war on them, and overcome them and kill them. [h] 8 And their corpses will lie in the open street[i] of the great city that figuratively is called Sodom and Egypt—where also their[j] Lord was crucified. 9 Some from the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will look at their corpses for three and a half days, not allowing them to be placed into a grave. [k] 10 Those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them. They will celebrate and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.

11 But after the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood up on their feet;[l] and great fear fell on those who were watching them. 12 Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here!” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies watched them.[m]

13 At that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city collapsed.[n] Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.

14 The second woe is past. The third woe is coming soon.

The Seventh Trumpet

15 Then the seventh angel trumpeted, and there were loud voices in heaven saying,

“The kingdom of this world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Anointed One. And He shall reign forever and ever!”[o]

16 And the twenty-four elders seated on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17 saying,

“We thank you, Adonai Elohei-Tzva’ot,[p] who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and begun to reign. 18 The nations were enraged, but Your wrath has come[q] and the time for the dead to be judged— to reward Your servants, the prophets and kedoshim, and those who fear Your name, the small and the great, and to destroy the destroyers of the earth.”[r]

19 Then the Temple of God in heaven was opened, and the Ark of His Covenant appeared in His Temple. And there were flashes of lightning and rumblings and clashes of thunder and an earthquake and heavy hail.[s]
