Day 253 Readings
Torah: Parshat Ha'azinu, 1st Portion Devarim (Deuteronomy) 32:1-32:6
Parashah 53: Ha’azinu (Hear) 32:1–52
32 “Hear, oh heavens, as I speak!Listen, earth, to the words from my mouth!2 May my teaching fall like rain.May my speech condense like dew, like light rain on blades of grass,or showers on growing plants.
3 “For I will proclaim the name of Adonai.Come, declare the greatness of our God!4 The Rock! His work is perfect, for all his ways are just.A trustworthy God who does no wrong,he is righteous and straight.
5 “He is not corrupt; the defect is in his children,a crooked and perverted generation.6 You foolish people, so lacking in wisdom,is this how you repay Adonai? He is your father, who made you his!It was he who formed and prepared you!

Deuteronomy 29:1-29
NASB 2 Now Moses called all Israel and said to them: “You have seen all that the Lord did before your eyes in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh and to all his servants and to all his land— 3 the great trials which your eyes have seen, the signs, and those great wonders. 4 Yet the Lord has not given you a heart to [a]perceive and eyes to see and ears to hear, to this very day. 5 And I have led you forty years in the wilderness. Your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandals have not worn out on your feet. 6 You have not eaten bread, nor have you drunk wine or similar drink, that you may know that I am the Lord your God. 7 And when you came to this place, Sihon king of Heshbon and Og king of Bashan came out against us to battle, and we conquered them. 8 We took their land and gave it as an inheritance to the Reubenites, to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh. 9 Therefore keep the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.
CJB 17 (18) So let there not be among you a man, woman, family or tribe whose heart turns away today from Adonai our God to go and serve the gods of those nations. Let there not be among you a root bearing such bitter poison and wormwood. 18 (19) If there is such a person, when he hears the words of this curse, he will bless himself secretly, saying to himself, ‘I will be all right, even though I will stubbornly keep doing whatever I feel like doing; so that I, although “dry,” [sinful,] will be added to the “watered” [righteous].’ 19 (20) But Adonai will not forgive him. Rather, the anger and jealousy of Adonai will blaze up against that person. Every curse written in this book will be upon him. Adonai will blot out his name from under heaven. 20 (21) Adonai will single him out from all the tribes of Isra’el to experience what is bad in all the curses of the covenant written in this book of the Torah.
NASB 24 All nations would say, ‘Why has the Lord done so to this land? What does the heat of this great anger mean?’ 25 Then people would say: ‘Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord God of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them out of the land of Egypt; 26 for they went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods that they did not know and that He had not given to them. 27 Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against this land, to bring on it every curse that is written in this book. 28 And the Lord uprooted them from their land in anger, in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.’
29 “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.
365 Daily Kingdom Living
Jesus Is Immanuel
Jesus is also called Immanuel, which literally means "God is with us." This was prophesized by Isaiah the prophet. Jesus was God in the flesh; God was dwelt among us (John 1:14). Today, Jesus is present in the life of every believer through the Holy Spirit. Are we saved? Surely yes! Jesus is with us and in us.
Prayer: Thank you Jesus Lord for your presence in our life to assure our salvation in You alone. In your name I pray, Amen.
Scripture
Isaiah 6
4 The doorposts shook at the sound of their shouting, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 Then I said,
“Woe to me! I [too] am doomed! —because I, a man with unclean lips, living among a people with unclean lips, have seen with my own eyesthe King, Adonai-Tzva’ot!”
6 One of the s’rafim flew to me with a glowing coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar.
7 He touched my mouth with it and said, “Here! This has touched your lips. Your iniquity is gone, your sin is atoned for.”
8 Then I heard the voice of Adonai saying, “Whom should I send?Who will go for us?”
I answered, “I’m here, send me!”
9 He said, “Go and tell this people: ‘Yes, you hear, but you don’t understand.
You certainly see, but you don’t get the point!’
10 “Make the heart of this people [sluggish with] fat, stop up their ears, and shut their eyes.Otherwise, seeing with their eyes, and hearing with their ears, then understanding with their hearts, they might repent and be healed!”
11 I asked, “Adonai, how long?” and he answered, “Until cities become uninhabited ruins,houses without human presence,the land utterly wasted;
12 until Adonai drives the people far away, and the land is one vast desolation.
13 If even a tenth [of the people] remain,it will again be devoured. “But like a pistachio tree or an oak, whose trunk remains aliveafter its leaves fall off,the holy seed will be its trunk.”
Isaiah 7
3 Then the Lord said to Isaiah, “Go out now to meet Ahaz, you and [e]Shear-Jashub your son, at the end of the aqueduct from the upper pool, on the highway to the Fuller’s Field, 4 and say to him: [f]‘Take heed, and [g]be quiet; do not fear or be fainthearted for these two stubs of smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria, and the son of Remaliah. 5 Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah have plotted evil against you, saying, 6 “Let us go up against Judah and [h]trouble it, and let us make a gap in its wall for ourselves, and set a king over them, the son of Tabel”— 7 thus says the Lord God:
“It shall not stand,Nor shall it come to pass.8 For the head of Syria is Damascus,And the head of Damascus is Rezin.Within sixty-five years Ephraim will be [i]broken,So that it will not be a people.9 The head of Ephraim is Samaria,And the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son.If you will not believe,Surely you shall not be established.” ’ ”
2 Corinthians 11:16-33
28 And besides these external matters, there is the daily pressure of my anxious concern for all the congregations. 29 Who is weak without my sharing his weakness? Who falls into sin without my burning inside?
30 If I must boast, I will boast about things that show how weak I am. 31 God the Father of the Lord Yeshua — blessed be he forever — knows that I am not lying! 32 When I was in Dalmanuta, the governor under King Aretas had the city of Dalmanuta guarded in order to arrest me; 33 but I was lowered in a basket through an opening in the wall and escaped his clutches.
Psalms 54
1 Save me, O God, by Your name,And vindicate me by Your strength.
2 Hear my prayer, O God;Give ear to the words of my mouth.
3 For strangers have risen up against me,And oppressors have sought after my life; They have not set God before them. Selah
4 Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is with those who [c]uphold my life.
5 He will repay my enemies for their evil.[d]Cut them off in Your [e]truth.
6 I will freely sacrifice to You;I will praise Your name, O Lord, for it is good.
7 For He has delivered me out of all trouble; And my eye has seen its desire upon my enemies.
Proverbs 23:1-3
1 When you sit down to eat with a ruler, Consider carefully what is before you;
2 And put a knife to your throat If you are a man given to appetite.
3 Do not desire his delicacies, For they are deceptive food.
