You are obese! Then heforsook Godwhomade him, And scornfully esteemed theRock of his salvation.
16 They provoked Him to jealousy with foreigngods; With[a]abominations they provoked Him to anger.
17 They sacrificed to demons, not to God, To godsthey did not know,
To newgods, new arrivals That your fathers did not fear.
18 Of the Rockwhobegot you, you are unmindful, And haveforgotten the God who fathered you.

Psalm 49:1-20
1 Hear this, all peoples;Give ear, all inhabitants of the world,2 Both low and high,Rich and poor together.3 My mouth shall speak wisdom,And the meditation of my heart shall give understanding.4 I will incline my ear to a proverb;I will disclose my [a]dark saying on the harp.
5 Why should I fear in the days of evil,When the iniquity at my heels surrounds me?6 Those who trust in their wealth. And boast in the multitude of their riches, 7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother,Nor give to God a ransom for him—8 For the redemption of their souls is costly,And it shall cease forever—9 That he should continue to live eternally,And not [b]see the Pit.
10 For he sees wise men die;Likewise the fool and the senseless person perish,And leave their wealth to others.11 [c]Their inner thought is that their houses will last forever,Their dwelling places to all generations; They call their lands after their own names.12 Nevertheless man, though in honor, does not [d]remain; He is like the beasts that perish.
NASB
15 But God will redeem my soul from the [i]power of [j]Sheol, For He will receive me. Selah
16 Do not be afraid when a person becomes rich,When the splendor of his house is increased;17 For when he dies, he will take nothing with him;His [k]wealth will not descend after him.18 Though while he lives he congratulates [l]himself—And though people praise you when you do well for yourself—19 [m]He will go to the generation of his fathers; They will never see the light.20 Mankind in its splendor, yet without understanding,Is like the animals that [n]perish.
Joshua 6:1-14
The Conquest of Jericho
6 Now Jericho was tightly shut because of the sons of Israel; no one went out and no one came in. 2 But the Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have handed Jericho over to you, with its king and the valiant warriors. 3 And you shall march around the city, all the men of war circling the city once. You shall do so for six days. 4 Also seven priests shall carry seven trumpets of rams’ horns in front of the ark; then on the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets. 5 It shall be that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city will fall down [a]flat, and the people shall go up, everyone [b]straight ahead.”
Matthew 16:21-28
Discipleship Is Costly
24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me. 25 For whoever wants to save his [f]life will lose it; but whoever loses his [g]life for My sake will find it. 26 For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but [h]forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and will then repay every person according to his [i]deeds.
28 “Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”
365 Daily Kingdom Living
Richest Food For Our Soul
A quote on food says "One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well," Our physical body cannot survive without food after a number of days. When we are hungry and see food at the table, we will not just look at it without any desire to eat it. Our spiritual body is the same. We need to eat spiritual food, which is the word of God. Many have a bible at home, or in office, that they see but not read. Jesus said you can not live with bread alone, but you also need my Words as daily bread. Without reading God's word, how can your soul be satisfied?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, stir up our deepest hunger for your Word. We want more spiritual food to satisfy our souls. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Scripture
Isaiah 31
Help Not in Egypt but in God
1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt for helpAnd rely on horses,And trust in chariots because they are manyAnd in horsemen because they are very strong,But they do not look to the Holy One of Israel, nor seek the Lord!2 Yet He also is wise and will bring disaster,And does not retract His words,But will arise against the house of evildoers,And against the help of the workers of injustice.3 Now the Egyptians are human and not God,And their horses are flesh and not spirit; So the Lord will stretch out His hand,And any helper will stumble,And one who is helped will fall. And all of them will come to an end together.
4 For this is what the Lord says to me:“As the lion or the young lion growls over his prey,Against which a band of shepherds is called out,And he will not be terrified at their voice nor disturbed at their noise,So will the Lord of armies come down to wage war on Mount Zion and on its hill.”5 Like [a]flying birds so the Lord of armies will protect Jerusalem. He will protect and save it;He will pass over and rescue it.
Isaiah 32
The Glorious Future
32 Behold, a king will reign righteously,And officials will rule justly.2 Each will be like a refuge from the windAnd a shelter from the storm,Like [d]streams of water in a dry country,Like the shade of a [e]huge rock in an exhausted land.3 Then the eyes of those who see will not be [f]blinded,And the ears of those who hear will listen.4 The [g]mind of the rash will discern the [h]truth,And the tongue of the stammerers will hurry to speak clearly.5 No longer will the fool be called noble,Or the rogue be spoken of as generous.6 For a fool speaks nonsense,And his heart [i]inclines toward wickedness:To practice ungodliness and to speak error against the Lord,To [j]keep the hungry person unsatisfiedAnd [k]to withhold drink from the thirsty.7 As for a rogue, his weapons are evil;He devises wicked schemesTo destroy the poor with [l]slander,Even though the needy one speaks [m]what is right.8 But the noble person devises noble plans; And by noble plans he stands.
15 Until the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high, And the wilderness becomes a fertile field,
And the fertile field is considered as a forest.
16 Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, And righteousness will remain in the fertile field.
17 And the work of righteousness will be peace, And the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.
18 Then my people will live in a peaceful settlement, In secure dwellings, and in undisturbed resting places;
19 And it will hail when the forest comes down, And the city will be utterly laid low.
20 How blessed will you be, you who sow beside all waters, Who [q]let the ox and the donkey out freely.
Isaiah 33
5 The Lord is exalted, for He dwells on high; He hasfilled Zion with justice and righteousness.
6 And He will be the[t]stability of your times, Awealth of salvation, wisdom, andknowledge;
The fear of the Lord is his treasure.
10 “Now I will arise,” says the Lord,“Now I will be exalted, now I will be lifted up.11 You have conceived [y]chaff, you will give birth to stubble;[z]My breath will consume you like a fire.12 The peoples will be burned to lime,Like cut thorns which are burned in the fire.
13 “You who are far away, hear what I have done; And you who are near, [aa]acknowledge My might.”14 Sinners in Zion are terrified;Trembling has seized the godless.“Who among us can live with the consuming fire?Who among us can live with everlasting burning?”15 One who walks righteously and speaks with integrity,One who rejects [ab]unjust gainAnd shakes his hands so that they hold no bribe; One who stops his ears from hearing about bloodshedAnd shuts his eyes from looking at evil;16 He will dwell on the heights,His refuge will be the [ac]impregnable rock; His bread will be given him,His water will be sure.
17 Your eyes will see the King in His beauty; They will see a distant land.18 Your heart will meditate on terror:“Where is one who counts?Where is one who weighs?Where is one who counts the towers?”19 You will no longer see a fierce people,A people of [ad]unintelligible speech [ae]which no one comprehends,Of a stammering tongue [af]which no one understands.20 Look at Zion, the city of our appointed feasts;Your eyes will see Jerusalem, an undisturbed settlement,A tent which will not be folded; Its stakes will never be pulled up,Nor any of its ropes be torn apart.21 But there the majestic One, the Lord, will be for usA place of rivers and wide canalsOn which no boat with oars will go,And on which no mighty ship will pass—22 For the Lord is our judge,The Lord is our lawgiver,The Lord is our king;He will save us—23 Your ship’s tackle hangs slack; It cannot hold the base of its mast firmly,Nor spread out the sail. Then the prey of an abundant spoil will be divided; Those who limp will take the plunder.24 And no resident will say, “I am sick”;The people who live [ag]there will be forgiven their wrongdoing.
Galatians 5:1-15
Follow the Spirit
1 It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.
2 Look! I, Paul, tell you that if you have yourselves circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you. 3 And I testify again to every man who has himself circumcised, that he is obligated to keep the whole Law. 4 You have been severed from Christ, you who [a]are seeking to be justified by the [b]Law; you have fallen from grace. 5 For we, [c]through the Spirit, [d]by faith, are waiting for the hope of righteousness. 6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.
Psalms 63
The Thirsting Soul Satisfied in God.
A Psalm of David, [a]when he was in the wilderness of Judah.
1 God, You are my God; I shall be watching for You;My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You,In a dry and exhausted land where there is no water.
2 So have I seen You in the sanctuary,To see Your power and glory.
3 Because Your [b]favor is better than life,My lips will praise You.
4 So I will bless You as long as I live;I will lift up my hands in Your name.
5 My soul is satisfied as with fat and fatness,And my mouth offers praises with joyful lips.
6 When I remember You on my bed,I meditate on You in the night watches,
7 For You have been my help,And in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.
8 My soul clings [c]to You; Your right hand takes hold of me.
9 But those who seek my [d]life to destroy it,Will go into the [e]depths of the earth.
10 [f]They will be [g]turned over to the power of the sword; They will be a [h]prey for foxes.
11 But the king will rejoice in God;Everyone who swears by Him will boast,For the mouths of those who speak lies will be stopped.
Proverbs 23:22

22 Listen to your father, who fathered you,And do not despise your mother when she is old.
