Day 247 Readings
Torah: Nitzavim-Vayelech, 2nd Portion Devarim (Deuteronomy) 30:1-
NKJV 4 If any of you are driven out to the farthest parts under heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there He will bring you. 5 Then the Lord your God will bring you to the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it. He will prosper you and multiply you more than your fathers. 6 And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.
GNT 6 The Lord your God will give you and your descendants obedient hearts, so that you will love him with all your heart, and you will continue to live in that land.

Deuteronomy 27:1-26
God's Laws Written on Stones
GNT 1 Then Moses, together with the leaders of Israel, said to the people, “Obey all the instructions that I am giving you today. 2 On the day you cross the Jordan River and enter the land that the Lord your God is giving you, you are to set up some large stones, cover them with plaster, 3 and write on them all these laws and teachings. When you have entered the rich and fertile land that the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you, 4 and you are on the other side of the Jordan, set up these stones on Mount Ebal, as I am instructing you today, and cover them with plaster.
NASB 20 ‘Cursed is he who sleeps with his father’s wife, because he has [g]uncovered his father’s garment.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
25 ‘Cursed is he who accepts a bribe to attack an innocent person.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
26 ‘Cursed is anyone who does not fulfill the words of this Law by doing them.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
365 Daily Kingdom Living
Scripture
Ecclesiastes 9
3 This is an evil in everything that is done under the sun, that there is one fate for everyone. Furthermore, the hearts of the sons of mankind are full of evil, and insanity is in their hearts throughout their lives. Afterward they go to the dead. 4 For whoever is joined to all the living, there is hope; for better a live dog, than a dead lion. 5 For the living know that they will die; but the dead do not know anything, nor do they have a reward any longer, for their memory is forgotten. 6 Indeed their love, their hate, and their zeal have already perished, and they will no longer have a share in all that is done under the sun.
7 Go then, eat your bread in happiness, and drink your wine with a cheerful heart; for God has already approved your works. 8 See that your clothes are white all the time, and that there is no lack of oil on your head. 9 [e]Enjoy life with the wife whom you love all the days of your futile life which He has given you under the sun, [f]all the days of your futility; for this is your reward in life and in your work which you have labored under the sun.
Whatever Your Hand Finds to Do
10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might; for there is no activity, planning, knowledge, or wisdom in Sheol where you are going.
11 I again saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift and the battle is not to the warriors, and neither is bread to the wise nor wealth to the discerning, nor favor to the skillful; for time and chance overtake them all. 12 For indeed, a person does not know his time: like fish that are caught in a treacherous net and birds caught in a snare, so the sons of mankind are ensnared at an evil time when it suddenly falls on them.
Ecclesiastes 10
16 Woe to you, O land, when your king is a child, And your princes feast in the morning!
17 Blessed are you, O land, when your king is the son of nobles, And your princes feast at the proper time—
For strength and not for drunkenness!
18 Because of laziness the [k]building decays, And through idleness of hands the house leaks.
19 A feast is made for laughter, And wine makes merry; But money answers everything.
Ecclesiastes 11
GNT 1 Invest your money in foreign trade, and one of these days you will make a profit. 2 Put your investments in several places—many places even—because you never know what kind of bad luck you are going to have in this world.
7 It is good to be able to enjoy the pleasant light of day. 8 Be grateful for every year you live. No matter how long you live, remember that you will be dead much longer. There is nothing at all to look forward to.
Advice to Young People
NASB 9 Rejoice, young man, during your childhood, and let your heart be pleasant during the days of young manhood. And follow the [ab]impulses of your heart and the [ac]desires of your eyes. Yet know that God will bring you to judgment for all these things. 10 So remove [ad]sorrow from your heart and keep [ae]pain away from your body, because childhood and the prime of life are [af]fleeting.
Ecclesiastes 12
NASB 1 Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years approach when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”;
NKJV 6 Remember your Creator before the silver cord is [r]loosed,Or the golden bowl is broken,Or the pitcher shattered at the fountain,Or the wheel broken at the well.7 Then the dust will return to the earth as it was,And the spirit will return to God who gave it.
8 “Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher,“All is vanity.”
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God and keep His commandments,For this is man’s all. 14 For God will bring every work into judgment,Including every secret thing,Whether good or evil.
2 Corinthians 7
NASB 8 For though I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it; though I did regret it—for I see that that letter caused you sorrow, though only for a while— 9 I now rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful, but that you were made sorrowful to the point of repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to the will of God, so that you might not suffer loss in anything [c]through us. 10 For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance [d]without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death. 11 For behold what earnestness this very thing, this [e]godly sorrow, has produced in you: what vindication of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what longing, what zeal, what punishment of wrong! In everything you demonstrated yourselves to be innocent in the matter. 12 So although I wrote to you, it was not for the sake of the offender nor for the sake of the one offended, but that your earnestness in our behalf might be made known to you in the sight of God.
NKJV 15 And his affections are greater for you as he remembers the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling you received him. 16 Therefore I rejoice that I have confidence in you in everything.
Psalms 48
9 We have thought, O God, on Your lovingkindness,In the midst of Your temple.10 According to Your name, O God,So is Your praise to the ends of the earth;Your right hand is full of righteousness.11 Let Mount Zion rejoice,Let the daughters of Judah be glad,Because of Your judgments.
12 Walk about Zion,And go all around her.Count her towers; 13 Mark well her bulwarks; Consider her palaces; That you may tell it to the generation following. 14 For this is God,Our God forever and ever;He will be our guide[b]Even to death.
Proverbs 22:17-19
17 Extend your ear and hear the words of the wise, And apply your mind to my knowledge;
18 For it will be pleasant if you keep them within you, [a]So that they may be ready on your lips.
19 So that your trust may be in the Lord, I have [b]taught you today, you indeed.
